El pueblito de Cabo Pulmo ha estado creciendo despues de que se decreto como Parque Nacional el 5 de Junio de 1995 , la mayor parte de su crecimiento ha sido en la parte de en medio ya que existen problemas de la tenencia de la tierra , sin embargo existen restricciones para la construccion , los nuevos y viejos habitantes han seguido las reglas , construyendo sus viviendas con materiales como techos de palma , y respetando el numero de pisos ya que no puede haber edificios que obstruyan la vision del sol hacia los arrecifes coralinos ya que sin esta podrian morir , por eso cuando se decreto como Parque Nacional lo hicieron desde la zona maritime terrestre por parte del Gobierno Federal y le adicionaron 50 metros mas por parte del Ayuntamiento de Los Cabos , en base a un ordenamiento que existe dentro del Municipio de Los Cabos el unico en todo el pais .

Claro que desde antes del decreto presidencial ya habia construcciones sobre el frente de la playa , las cuales ahora se encuentran en peligro de ser derrumbadas , por el cambio de mareas , y que hasta el dia de hoy solo las siguen protegiendo con muros los cuales solo hacen cambiar el rumbo de las olas a otros sitios y son muy malos para la erosion de nuestras costas , sin embargo como no son muchas aun siguen en peligro. continuaremos !!!
